The VIN or Chassis Number is a permanent identifier of motorbikes world-wide making the VIN a most accurate way to retrieve data held for any motorcycle. However, the Reg is on par with the VIN for UK registered motorbikes with the DVLA as they associate both identifiers for date retrieval. Use the one that is most convenient for you.
