VIN code required to access vehicle & MOT details
We retrieve vehicle and MOT data via the VIN code. The VIN or Chassis Number is considered the most accurate way to research data on any vehicle. This is why forensic services reference the VIN identifier rather than the reg number.
Where to find the vehicle VIN code
- Either side of the front windscreen - bottom section above the dashboard.
- Either side of the front doors internal fame.
- Log book (V5C) - Section: VIN/ Chassis/Frame No.
- MOT test certificate (front page) - Section: Vehicle identification number.
Note: '0' in the VIN code is always the number 0, not the letter.
